Owner and president, Michael Dunbar, loves his cats. On a trip to Ukraine to visit some family, his young niece exclaimed "Ryzhka!" upon seeing his young cat. And the name stuck!
Ryzhka is Ukrainian slang roughly translating to "Little red/orange".
Fast forward to 2011 and Mr. Dunbar was seeking to name his company something unique and never used in the state of Florida – our state of incorporation. After much thought and consideration, the idea of using "Ryzhka" as a company name came to be.
